Caliche ground comes first
El Paso sits on caliche, so grading and compaction happen before a single form goes in. We cut and grade the pad, get the base compacted to spec, then set forms for sidewalks, concrete paths, or curb and gutter and pour. Concrete and earthwork are both self-performed, so the crew that grades the site is the same crew that finishes the flatwork, with nothing handed off to a subcontractor in between. As an Allied States Cooperative contract holder, we bring 30 plus years of experience to get the job done right the first time.
Where this work has already held up
Our federal record includes a 500 x 500 concrete pad and concrete sidewalks at White Sands Missile Range, alongside road and parking lot signs and striping on the same base. That is the same grading and forming process used on every sidewalk, path, curb and gutter, or grading job in El Paso, Hudspeth and Brewster counties.
